American Red Cross hosting community blood drive at Armstrong Community Center

Posted

Armstrong, IA will host a community blood drive with the American Red Cross on Tuesday, September 15 from 1:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the Armstrong Community Center.

According to the Red Cross, donors with all blood types are needed, especially those with types O negative, A negative and B negative.  Our goal for this drive has increased significantly because of the great need, so please make an appointment and encourage your friends to do so too.

Save time by using RapidPass® to complete your pre-donation reading and health history online before you come to your appointment. Get started at RedCrossBlood.org/RapidPass or by using the Blood Donor App. For eligibility questions, please call 1-800-RED CROSS (1-800-733-2767) or visit RedCrossBlood.org.

For more information or to make an appointment to donate, call Krista Mart (712-260-0523) or Marla Newlin (712-260-2689) or sign up online at redcrossblood.org or rcblood.org/appt.

When you donate blood, you strengthen our communities and help meet hospital and patient needs.  This blood drive is one way of giving members of our communities an opportunity to help save lives.

The American Red Cross and Hello Kitty are releasing exclusive NEW merchandise!  Come give blood in Armstrong on September 15 for a super-cute Red Cross x Hello Kitty collectible item, while supplies last!
