Lois Ann Anderson, daughter of Emma (Jones) and Ivan Nelson, was born on April 24th, 1941, in Massachusetts.  She died peacefully on March 14, 2024, surrounded by her family at Valley Vue Care Center in Armstrong, IA.  Lois was 82 years old.

Lois lived her younger years in Maynard, Massachusetts, until she met her husband, Larry Anderson.  They were married on July 28th, 1958, and had celebrated their 50th anniversary in July, 2008.  After marriage, Lois resided in Armstrong, IA, where she raised their seven children.  These seven children would later bless Lois with 21 grandkids, and currently 31 great-grandkids!  We always told her look what she started!!

Hobbies included gardening, canning, and making many different kinds of jelly to spoil her grandkids.  She also loved to sew, anything from blankets, to pillowcases, to plastic canvas.  She loved getting out for long drives with Larry, until his death in 2009.  Lois enjoyed just getting out for rides anywhere in Iowa, and also up into Wisconsin.  Lois LOVED to be with her family and did not want to miss anything that had to do with Family!

Lois is preceded in death by her parents Emma and Ivan Nelson, sister Thelma, brothers Larry, Robert and Gordon, her husband Larry, son Donald, grandson Steven, and daughter in-law Stacie.
