Doretta Mae Logemann was born August 10, 1937, in Buffalo Center, daughter of Lewis and Jennie (Hartman) Landheer. She graduated from Buffalo Center High School in 1956 and attended Mankato Business College prior to her marriage.
Doretta married Wallace Henry Logemann on June 13, 1959, at Bethany Evangelical and Reformed Church in Ledyard. The family farmed near Ledyard, later with their son Steve. Doretta proudly was a supportive farm wife.
Doretta was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She attentively cared for her home and her hands were always busy creating something special for those she loved. A meticulous knitter and seamstress, she spent countless hours crafting beautiful quilts and sewing adorable teddy bears, generously sending many quilts to missions. Her home was always filled with the warmth of homemade treats—at least three desserts in the fridge at any given time, ready to share with her family. Doretta cherished her grandchildren, each one loved equally with great affection and care. Above all, she loved the Lord and was looking forward to spending eternity with Him.
