Charles A Farrow (75) passed away peacefully on January 12, 2025 at his home in Aurora, CO surrounded by his family.

Military funeral service will be held on May 16, 2025 with burial service in the Veterans cemetery on May 17, 2025.

“Charlie” was born 7/9/1949 to Orville and Rita (Diers) Farrow of Bancroft, IA. He attended 12 years of school at St John’s Catholic school in Bancroft, IA graduating in 1967.

After graduation, Charlie attended linotype school in Charles City, IA. In 1968, he enlisted in the United States Navy. Charlie was stationed in Boston, MA and Newport, RI before his ship, the U.S.S. Boston was deployed to Vietnam.

On August 1, 1970, Charlie married the love of his life, Jean Walsh, also from Bancroft, IA. They then resided in Newport, RI. Upon being honorably discharged from the United States Navy, they moved to New York City where Charlie was employed by Pan American World Airways. Pan Am then led them to Chicago and Minneapolis. After the closing of Pan Am, Charlie worked for various international transportation companies involved with freight shipping.

Charlie is survived by his wife of 54 years, Jean, his daughter Jennifer Debelak (Robert), grandchildren Colton and Maddy of Colorado Springs, CO; daughter Stacie Farrow (Joe Bogner), grandchildren Charlie Claire and Rhys of Parker, CO; sisters Marilyn Evans (Del), Sussex, WI; Dorothy Nolton, Thompson, IA; Barbara Hall (Robert), Landrum, SC; Eileen Hagist (Dave), Bancroft, IA.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Orville and Rita Farrow, parents in-law, Lawrence and Marina Walsh, sister in-law, Barb Hutchinson, brothers in law, Robert Ortman, David Nolton, Ken Hutchinson and several nieces and nephews.
