JoAnne R. (Whitehouse) Prescott, the daughter of Vernon and Irene "Maytie" (Doty) Whitehouse, was born February 2, 1935, in Rodman, Iowa. She passed away Saturday, May 2, 2020, at her home in Armstrong, Iowa, at the age of 85 years.

She graduated from Gruver, Iowa, High School.

She was united in marriage to M. Glendon Prescott. Along with being a mom, home maker and wife, JoAnne was employed with Northwestern Bell for about 30 years. She was also employed as a certified meat cutter at Armour, worked at TGI Industries and was also employed in the library in the Estherville School District. In her leisure time she enjoyed crafts, babysitting and cooking. Mr. Prescott passed away on January 2, 1985.

JoAnne was an active member of the Presbyterian Church in Ringsted, Iowa, where she had taught Sunday School; she was a Cub Scout Leader; was a member of the Cancer Drive and a member of the Ladies VFW Auxilary.

Left to cherish her memory are her son Brian of Fort Dodge, Iowa; grandchildren, Logan Prescott, Riley (Morgan) Prescott and Jessie (Brittney) Prescott and a sister, Bonnnie Baker.

JoAnne was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Roger; brothers, Robert and James and a sister, Janice Nielsen.
