Arlo Jones, the son of Orval and Lila (Cassem) Jones was born March 23, 1936 in Armstrong, Iowa. He died Thursday, July 27, 2017, at his home in Armstrong, Iowa at the age of 81.

He received his education in Armstrong school, graduating from Armstrong High School. Arlo served in the United States Army where he was stationed in Germany.

On September 8, 1962 he was united in marriage to Carolyn Hovey at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Swea City. Arlo and Carolyn lived in Wolcott, Indiana for a short time before returning to Armstrong in 1964. Arlo was employed with Arts Way Manufacturing until he retired in 2008. For hobbies, he enjoyed sports, horses, collecting watches and spending time with family and friends.

He was a member of Nazareth Lutheran Church in Armstrong.

Left to cherish Arlo's memory are his wife, Carolyn of Armstrong; sons, Todd Jones and his wife, Tammi; Wade Jones and his wife, Gale; grandchildren, Trey Jones; Madison Jones; Dalston (Megan) Jones; Langston Jones; Heather Krouse; one great grandchild, Finley Jones; and sister, Arla Heck.

He has been preceded in death by his parents, Orval and Lila; brother, Nolan Jones; nephew, Jory Heck; and father and mother-in-law, Clarence and Lucille Hovey.
