Barbara Ann (Walsh) Hutchinson of Omaha, NE, age 81, died on April 23, 2024. She was born April 16, 1943, in Davenport, IA, the oldest daughter of Lawrence and Marina (Deitering) Walsh. She attended St. John’s elementary and high school and graduated in 1961. After graduation she attended Mankato Commercial College, Mankato, MN, and worked in the office at Campbell Soup Company, Worthington, MN.
On May 25, 1963, she married Ken Hutchinson at St. John’s Catholic Church in Bancroft, IA. She worked part time for 17 years at Corpus Christi Church in Fort Dodge and volunteered at her children’s schools.
Barb is survived by her daughter Diane Sederburg and her husband Dave, Omaha, NE and son Dan Hutchinson and his wife Chris, Omaha, NE; grandchildren Derek, Ryan, Rachel Sederburg and Emily, Robert, Charles, Lizzy Hutchinson. She is also survived by her sisters Ann Marie Heldorfer and her husband Phil, Bancroft, IA, and Jean Farrow and her husband Charlie, Aurora, CO, nieces, nephews and cousins.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Ken Hutchinson, mother, Marina Walsh, father Lawrence Walsh and her grandparents.
Barb loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. Attending her grandchildren’s sports, school activities, music programs, etc. was very special to her. She also enjoyed visiting family and friends, playing cards, reading, attending concerts and plays and writing letters to her many friends and family members.
A memorial will be held at a later date.
