New provider joins KRHC medical staff Welcome Travis Larson, P.A.-c
Kossuth Regional Health Center will welcome a new provider to its medical staff this month. Travis Larson, certified physician assistant, began his role on the medical staff on March 4.
Larson completed his Master of Physician Assistant studies at the University of Iowa, after earning his Master of Science in Biomedical Sciences from Regis University in Denver and Bachelor of Arts in biology from Southwest Minnesota State University in Marshall, MN.
The son of Bruce and Diane Larson, is originally from rural Armstrong and is glad to be back working in the area. He is a 2012 graduate of North Sentral Kossuth.
Travis wasn’t always set on being a physician assistant but knew he wanted to do something in the field of medicine.
“Growing up on a farm near Armstrong and my wife being from Bancroft, we had always hoped there would be an opportunity to come back and work somewhere close to home,” Larson said. “I did a couple of my clinical rotations at KRHC and got to see firsthand what an outstanding medical group and facility it was. I couldn’t imagine being anywhere but at KRHC. I’m very thankful that there was an opportunity to join the group.”
“We are so pleased to have Travis join our team,” said KRHC administrator Dar Elbert. “He joins a skilled team of providers that are committed to education and supporting each other in their work. He had the opportunity to get to know many of our staff during his clinical rotations. He is a wonderful addition to our medical staff.”
Larson said that the friendly and helpful nature of the providers was part of what drew him to this practice.
“The medical staff and all of the employees at KRHC have been fantastic. I’m blessed to be here and play my small part in the work that everyone here does to take the best possible care of patients,” Larson said.
