North Union School Year nearing start

The 2019-2020 school year is nearing the starting date of August 23. The first semester of school will consist of 82 days while the second will hold 96. Teachers in service will begin on August 13th through the 15th and again on the 21st and the 22nd before the first day of school for the kids. Orientation for students is Tuesday August 6th from 7:00 am to 3:00 pm and Wednesday, August 7th from Noon to 7:00 pm.

The North Union school calendar can be found on the North Union website and as always, is subject to change. Dates to keep in mind are below:
Parent teacher conferences are planned to be held on October 28 and 29 and again on March 16 and 17.
Teacher in service days (no school) will be held on November 13, January 2, and May 22 (after graduation).
There will be no school on September 2 (Labor Day) and May 25 (Memorial Day).
Vacation days consist of: November 1 (Comp day), November 28-29 (Thanksgiving), December 23-January 1 (Winter break), March 20 and March 23, April 10 (Easter break). All vacation days are subject to change depending on weather cancellations pushing school to far into the summer.
School will dismiss at 2 p.m. for early outs for teacher in services on September 18, October 16, October 30, December 11, January 22, February 5, February 19, March 4, March 25, April 8, and April 22.
March 23rd is marked as a possible snow make-up day.
